We have so much footage to go through, but I couldn’t help but share one picture from Greg and Daniella’s wedding! It was a crazy Moldovan-Russian wedding. It had heartfelt moments, many traditions, and a ton of fun, fun, FUN!

When we filmed their (hilarious) Love Story we quickly found out that they’re not a lovey-dovey couple. However, the love they share with each other and with their family and friends could not be hidden on their wedding day. I was so touched by the extremely personal words their Rabbi shared during the ceremony at the Sunset Club. The toasts were so heartfelt they brought me to tears.  Despite some unexpected challenges during the day, I can only say that their wedding day really touched my heart.

My favorite moment: all the film references! Steve is a filmmaker and many of his friends and family members have had cameos in his films. There were so many fun references by both their Rabbi and friends to Steve’s special passion throughout the evening, not least in reference to their amazing Love Story film that we created together.  It was such a wonderful moment to watch the film debut on screen to laughter and tears!  It is such moments that remind us why we love to create wedding films!!

Ummm, wow! What a weekend this has been! We headed to Anchorage, Alaska on Friday for an awesome wedding and it has been nothing but a remarkable experience! Max and Tamila have been the most gracious hosts, not to mention a sweet, wonderful couple. We’ve had such an experience here–Anchorage is a cool town (it gets dark right now after 1 am!), the wedding was really beautiful, and today we headed into the mountains and visited the wilderness. We saw a bear! And moose! And went shooting, both literally and figuratively. Needless to say, we will be posting A LOT of photos and video from this experience. But for now, a sneak peek!!

Enjoy these for now–we’ll post more when we get back to Seattle and get settled. Thank you, Max and Tamila, for an amazing weekend!!!

Wow! Viktor and Alena’s wedding yesterday was full of surprises!  Alena is a longtime Zinchuk Studios follower and commenter, so we knew that they wanted a fun video.  We knew that they were young, fun, and totally into each other, but we had no idea just what tricks they had up their sleeves :)   After a traditional wedding and reception, we headed to the beach for a quickie Trash the Dress with photographer Alex Udodik. It was SO FUN to spend the last moments of light on their wedding day together for some awesome images.  Here’s a couple shots I took:

We finally headed home after a LOOONNG day (I randomly woke up at 4:30 and napped until our alarm at 5:30) and when we got to our front door, we found a little family of swallows setting up a home right right next to us :)

Alena, Viktor, thank you guys for a fun day and great shots!  Congratulations on your marriage and we wish you many, many, many happy years together!  Enjoy your honeymoon–and we’ll have a little video preview for when you get back ;)

Everything was shot on our Canon 5D mkII, and we’re in love!  That camera has been my precious all summer for photos and I’m afraid I’ll never get it back after letting Alex use it this weekend to film. After we have a chance to post a clip, you’ll understand why he loves it so much!
